Description

Ever been to The Waterfall and wondered about the big cliffs across Oak Creek Canyon? Yup, this is them. There are several large Coconino sandstone walls, some smaller features, and even some nice routes on the lower Schnebly Hill sandstone buttresses here.

Bloom's Castles in the Sand has some information about routes here but there is a lot more that is unpublished.

Getting There

Park at Encinoso Picnic Area and hike up the North Wilson Mountain trail (the trailhead is on the north end of the picnic area). After about 15 minutes the trail turns south and climbs up the mountain. Turn off the trail just before this, pick a drainage, shed a layer and start trudging up to the base. 30-60 minutes depending on where you're going.
