Description

The Acropolis / Vinyl Village is, like Grey Mountain, the Rock Gardens, or McIntyre, a good local climbing area located close to downtown Whitehorse. It is located in a valley floor, and is thus relatively shaded. Like most places in the Yukon it doesn't see much traffic. The rock is granite.

Getting There

See the map for a .gpx route for the trail. Can be viewed on your favourite GPS app or on MountainProject via the app or mobile browser. Using this is highly recommended for your first time out.

I've been parking at the small blue building on Winze Pl (google maps says it's 33 Winze Pl). To get there, you take Robert Service from downtown, which becomes South Access. After the Alaska Highway, turn right onto Hamilton Blvd. Then turn left onto Falcon Dr, left onto North Star Dr, right onto Drift Dr, and right onto Winze Pl.
