Description
Las Viñas is Sunny year round, but foggy days are not uncommon. The crags are at the top of the mountain, facing West and South. This is the easiest crag to get to in Lima, so it's fairly popular, though the approach can deter a lot of people.
The rock is good solid granite, but the layer of fine dust covering everything can make things feel more slippery than what they are. That can take some getting used to.

Getting There
Drive uphill until the end of Avenida Los Fresnos, enter the Parque Ecologico La Molina (free entrance, but the gate closes at 4 pm). Park and start the hike uphill following the trail until "Estacion 2". From there, follow the obvious sandy trails uphill. The approach is moderate but steep, consider a good 20-30 minutes for it. The dark crust on the soil is fragile plant and algae life, stay on the trails at all times to minimize impact on the area.
