Description

This greenish pinnacle faces mostly north by north/west but is low angle enough to get sun at mid-day. However, due to its orientation, there is a thin film of lichen covering the main face but that should clean-up with subsequent ascents. The rock is solid otherwise with no rock fall potential.

Look for the tower with a huge Hershey's Kiss on top of it. We slung the "Kiss" to facilitate descent.

Getting There

Green Pinnacle is about 117 meters south/southwest of the Tombstone formation.
Follow Geir's Tombstone trail until you encounter a large slabby area. Leave the trail at this point and find your way into Hand's Canyon drainage. Head up the drainage for about 15 minutes until below the Green Pinnacle and then bushwack straight up to the base. Keep you eyes peeled for the Hershey Kiss on top...that's your tower.
