Description Suggest change

Located just north of Zomba town on the M5. Most of the development described here was done by Mike Dalious when he was a Peace Corps Volunteer. This is the prominent crag in the middle of the valley just north of the road. There are several good faces here, and it will be climbable at most times of the day, somewhere. Still going to be hot. All of the routes here were originally top roped and put up by Mike Dalious. we considered bolting some llines, but the risk of kids trying to pull the bolts, and the difficulty drilling bolts made this unreasonable.

Getting There Suggest change

Look for a left hand turn just past an old container as you head north. Drive up the road 2 KMs and find a track that is passable to vehicles leading towards the hill. Take this to the last house. Ask for Mac and tell him Mike sent you. Mac will send the kids with you to show you where Mike used to climb and around the area. a thousand kwacha would grease the wheels very well.
Follow a foot path up through the maize fields, taking care to stay off any planted corn. Angle left and up to the wall furthest north.
