Description

An old basalt quarry, Ettringen Lay is a 30m deep hole in the ground. There's a place to find shade or sun every time of the day. The routes are mostly bolted, but a small rack is a good idea.

Getting There

Park on the large parking lot just off Mayener Street between Mayen and Ettringen and walk past the shelter. Take the first left and walk down into the old mine. You'll hit the Große Wand in 5 minutes.
