Description Suggest change

Electric Rocks is a set of west-facing, traprock (basalt) cliffs located under power transmission lines near YMCA Camp Sloper (really!) in Southington, CT.

The crag is not heavily climbed but is on a hiking trail. The longest routes are about 70 feet tall. The rock and climbers trails can be treacherous when wet.

Getting There Suggest change

You can easily see the crag from the Camp Sloper parking lot. The sign says YMCA members may park there. Follow the obvious trail under the power lines. The approach takes about 20 minutes.
