Description

Basalt climbing in a quary area. Very near to Ettringen

Sport and Trad, a small rack will do as the routes are generally under 30m.

This area is a collection of small climbing areas that are somewhat isolated from each other due to trees and terrian. The area is good for small children as it is mostly flat, however, there are some areas with some loose rock.

Note: As with Ettringen, the top anchors are generally one bolt, sometimes they can be backed up with gear and sometimes not.

Getting There

Between Ettringen an Kottenheim on Kreisstraße there is a small parking area. Most of the climbing is on the same side of the road as the parking with a small area down the road a bit (toward Ettringen) on the other side.

The lower parking lot has been (vastly) improved! There is a small road just a little ways east from the top parking lot.

Approach to all area is no more than 15 mins, however, the areas can be difficult to find if you don't know exactly where you are heading. There are no signes, but many of the areas have route names on the rock making it easy to identify the area you are in.
