Description
This is a very large free-standing "tower", meaning it is exposed on all sides. This makes it possible to climb here year-round. There are of course some old routes which are bold and hard-core, and then there are some newer routes which may not be quite as bold but make up for it in the hard-core department.
Getting There
From Asselstein, follow the signs to Trifels and the Kletterhütte. Especially follow the signs to the Kletterhütte. When you've reached it, don't park there. Rather, park in the parking lot a short distance up the road and on the other side to keep the parking lot available for customers to the Kletterhütte.
Walk back to the Kletterhütte, stop in for breakfast if you wish, and follow the signs and trail 16 to Asselstein, which is 200m from the Kletterhütte.
