Description
Feral peak is the first, smaller crest of Rhododendron Gap. When you get to Rhodo Gap you will see the open, flat, grassy area that is the gap. The further, larger "peak" is Rhodo Peak. The first, smaller crest which is closer to the pony gate at GHSP proper is Feral Peak.
Feral Peak has lots of fun bouldering. I havent listed anywhere close to all of the lines here, but most everything has been climbed. Explore, climb, and take some time to enjoy the views.
Getting There
Walk up through the little pony gate that leads in from GHSP into MRNRA. From the gate, take the AT up to Rhododendron Gap. Once at the gap, this is the closest bouldery cluster to the park. The further, second peak is Rhodo Peak.
The trail will lead you to the open grassy field, so you will need to turn left and walk back toward the craggy lower part of the field to the left to get to the Feral Peak area. Continuing straight will take you directly to Rhodo.
