Description
Stille Gründe translates roughly to "Quiet Fields". The area includes 28 peaks and are typically not very tall. The lack of height is compensated for in the quantity of easy to moderate climbs, making this area ideal for families.
Getting There
From Wehlen, you can drive East along the Elbe along a very tight road intended for people who live there and hikers until you see a parking area on the right intended only for guests of the Pension on the left. From here, drive another 100m or so to another parking area. From here you can walk another 300m past the little green hut with a mining ramp and hike uphill past the DAV house. From here, walk to the right until you pass a house on your left, and take the trail leading uphill. This will lead you directly to Kraxelbrüderscheibe on your left and Hirschgrundkegel on your right. This is the route I used to access the crags, but in hindsight it seems to be the long way.
The alternative and better looking way is to park at the parking area indicated by the GPS coordinates. From here use the Fremdenweg to find your crag of choice.
