Description

Large bolder with distinctive prow feature. Broken Moon (V6) is one of the best of the grade in the state and well worth the visit to this boulder.

Getting There

Walk down Welch Hollow Rd (a rough dirt road)5-10 minutes along the edge of the tree farm, down the big hill and cross a stream. Where it is posted to the left is Trust/Conservancy land with no climbing, but once past the gate posts it is Management Area. Just after the stream are two parallel stone walls heading off to the left. Follow them off into the woods for a few minutes. When you see the remains of a big tree house, the Broken Moon Boulder is just beyond.
