Description
An interesting place. This is a free-standing, short and stalky formation which has a SUPER easy climb up to the top. In fact, this place also has probably the widest range of difficulty, with routes ranging from UIAA 1 to 9-!
The easier routes obviously have big holds, while the harder ones climb on itty bitty holds. The easier ones are nice and low angle, while the hard ones are typically vertical (a couple of routes my have a little bulge or light overhang). You can top out on several routes for a beautiful view.
Being at the edge of a wooded area, the crag is not too shaded and is nice from Spring through Fall. It's north and west-facing aspect means that it gets sun only on one side, not making it very ideal for winter.
Getting There
Walking there should take you about 15 min. Look across the main road you drove in on and you'll see a path heading into the forest. Walk on this path (which is marked with a red dot) for about 270m where it forks. Go right and after 20m left back into the trees. Walk 700m on this trail and you'll come to a field and leave the trees. Continue straight to get to a hard path on the left going uphill. Walk on this path for about 300m and the crag will be on your right.
