Description

Hideout Wall offers several quality crack climbs of moderate difficulty. Secluded with a northeasterly aspect, it's a great place to enjoy solitude and afternoon shade.

See photo and route descriptions in the Kerry guide.

Getting There

Hideout Wall lies south and east of Warpath Dome, on the other side of a broad and wooded drainage. Follow directions to Warpath Dome, noting that the new approach skirts occupied private property. Hike to Warpath and then cut south across the drainage, angling up hill. Or hike straight up the drainage once you begin gaining elevation after leaving the wash, eventually angling right. Approach time is one hour.

Ummmm..... This area is in the West Stronghold, not the East, just to avoid confusing people. Apr 19, 2012

this area would be great if it were right next to the road, but I don't think it is worth the hike. Feb 22, 2011
