Description
The Alpenglow boulder is one of the furthest boulders from the main parking lot, it is also one of the most scenic.
Located in a wide-open field this round egg of a boulder holds a couple fun easy to moderate problems with spectacular views of the Indian Peaks Wilderness.
Getting There
Two ways to get to this boulder:
4x4 Road: Take the 4x4 road via foot or high clearance vehicle for ~3.5 miles to the end of the road. At this point there is a parking lot with a footbridge over the river. Head over the river and take the trail to the right (West) until you see this boulder right along the trail in a clearing. About 5-10 mins from the footbridge.
Buchanan Pass Trail: Take the foot trail from the parking lot trailhead for ~3.5 miles until you see this boulder in an open clearing.
