Description
Take the right turn past the meadows, and drive by the "wood cutting" area. Follow this road several hundred yards until the last hard left turn. Park at the turn.
The trail is very indistinct at this point. Head generally upward and toward ribbon creek. As ribbon creek is approached, cairns will be encountered. Starting perhaps 500ft higher than your car, the trail follows the ridge on the left side of the creek. Follow this to a point several hundred yards below the falls, then drop down and bush wack through the brush surrounding the creek. The best path through is fairly clear, and at nearly the same elevation as "Gates of Delirium". "Gates of Delirium follows the last major right facing dihedral before the ribbon falls amphitheater proper. Bolts can be seen from the base. Ribbon Candy begins at a dirt filled hand crack several hundred yards down stream.
Gates of Delirium is excellent. Mainly straight forward climbing with one nasty OW, and one section of gardening. Ribbon Candy is excellent full on Yosemite Funk.
