Many problems and even boulders are closed to climbing due to their proximity to native art and cultural artifacts. Please observe and obey all posted NPS signs.
The Joshua Tree National Park Superintendent's Compendium states that:
1. Vegetation is not allowed to be used as an anchor.
2. Only neutral or rock colored bolt hangers are allowed.

Description
This is the first boulder encountered on the approach to the Indian Wave Boulders. It is to the west of Indian Wave Boulder.A concrete slab remains on the Northeast side. A cage was built here in the 1950's to house animals used in movie productions. "The Lion's Cage" V10, climbs above this slab. Long easy problems are found on the Southeast side.
