Description

Mostly shade, this area has harder routes. I think it gets less traffic as it is harder to find. Typical Rocky Butte Basalt. Sport, Toprope, and Trad. Most climbers rap from an anchor and do a route, but there is one 3rd class descent to get to the main ledge of Warrior Wall, and the guardrail descent which may be considered low 5th class. One can also approach Warrior Wall from below.

Getting There

Enter at the #3 on the south side of the guardrail. This entrance is shared with Wizard and Far East Walls, which are essentially just continuations of this same buttress. The Warrior Wall itself is broken up into two sections, Upper and Lower, with the Upper being indistinguishable from Far East except for a different top approach, and the Lower a continuation of Mean Street from the north but separated by a 4th-class descent.

Upper Warrior is accessed by taking the first path towards the cliff after turning left/north from the road. You will see the shiny Crack Warrior chains laying on top of the ledge. Anchors for Smears for Fears to Sheer Madness are accessible from this ledge.

Lower Warrior is accessed by the next path to the north, which requires a little more down-climbing. Around the corner you will find a set of rap anchors from which you can reach the anchors for Emotional Rescue to climber's right and Arch Nemesis and others (red hangers) pretty much straight down.

To access the base from above, follow the backside of the guardrail until the path cuts back towards the cliff. Follow the path of least resistance down to base of the wall between Mean Street and Lower Warrior.
