Description
Clay Creek Crag is a great year round climbing area with 50+ routes, from easy to hard. The best routes are the harder ones, but beginners will have fun here, also. It is beautiful sandstone climbing, mostly sport. 8 quickdraws are recommended, with some trad: 2 sets of nuts and cams recommended.
Getting There
Go West on CO 145 towards Norwood. Take a right at the bottom of Norwood Hill, just before the bridge on Forest Service Road 510 (530?). After driving 4.3 miles up this road, park in the large turnout on the left side of road. The trail to crag is across the road. It is a 15 minute approach.
