All Along the Putt-Tower T 5.3 3+ 10 III 9 VD 3a C1

Description

This is the very small tower on the southwest side of the road almost a mile before you get to the Kane Creek crossing. It is on the main road approximately 100-200 yards away from the Happy Turk formation.
RAIN, WET ROCK and RAPTOR CLOSURES: The sandstone around Moab is fragile and is very easily damaged when it is wet. Also please ask and be aware of Raptor Closures in areas such as CAT WALL and RESERVOIR WALL in Indian Creek Details

Getting There

Driving south into Kane Creek Valley on the right side of the road about 1 mile before you get to Kane Creek. You will see the Happy Turk formation out on your left.

I've done this short, dirty, pathetic climb. It IS a desert tower...(barely...), and it IS very close to the road. Kane Springs area is very beautiful, but as far as the climbing;....it pretty much sucks. If you are bored and are a greedy-goat desert tower summit collector...(I admit it;..I am..)....then this climb is for YOU!......(Now you are probably curious enough to go do it;......you are sick and need help, my friend...) Cam Burns and his Putterman climbs......he must be one twisted fellow.....I've done a number of his climbs........ Apr 29, 2007
