Description
A smaller spire just off the SW corner of Sharksfin. This little crag is encountered if you descend off the S end of Sharksfin. It has at least 3 trad and 1 sport route to the top. The sport route entices you to explore if you descend off Sharksfin and circle round the W face of Pinpoint. There is a large crack/chimney system on its S face.
Getting There
From Estes Park, head S on CO Hwy 7 to the Lily Lake visitor center. Go up the dirt road past and take a quick left past the Baldpate Inn. Go to the end of the road. Do not park at the Inn. Hike 1/4-1/2 mi up this same road to the N. Head uphill through lightly forested slopes. As you break free of the forest on to the talus, you will likely see Slot Rock to the R (S) and Rib Rocks to the L (N) as the lowest climbing-type rocks. This rock will be uphill and right of Slot Rock perhaps 200 yards. It is located at the S end of Sharksfin.
