As an OW noob I have placed my 5 and 6 on Dolphin (5.7) last winter in JTree.

Pratt's Crack is on my short list (near Mommoth Lakes / Rovana CA)

3 #6's, 3 5's, 3 4's, and a 3 on darkstar at Winslow wall. Some would say this is a tad excessive....or downright cowardly....

pratt's crack only took 2 6's and a 5 and a blue big bro, but next time I double up on the big bro.....

There are never any cowardly OW climbers! Cowards are those NOT attempting the suffering.....

I once used four 9” Valley Giants and some “smaller stuff” on a route (Braveheart). It required a major equipment call to my buddies to round up the gear and several sixers in compensation.

Also used about six #4 Camalots (old sizing) on at least two different routes. Technically this doesn’t fit the OP (> #4) but it is a nasty OW size and deserving of honorable mention.

i belayed kent on braveheart and the belay was 4.5 camalots (IIRC). the scary part was when he got up to my belay (top of 1st pitch) and i was transferring the rack, the ledge he was on blew out and he pitched backwards. he collected himself and sent the crux pitch, which was utter heinousness. a lot of aluminum was used that day....

Does bumping gear along count?

OW climbers used to be bad ass when they had to place a rigid #3 or #4 and run the wide stuff out. Glad that was before my time...

Darkstar looks awesome!
