Impressive! What kind of Opuntia? How many aeroles per pad?

Opuntia basilaris. Festooned with cyathiform flowers and stigma lobes in the spring to attract Hymenoptera and lepidopterans. The exact number of aeroles is indeterminate, but the stems are covered with many small glochids.
