At the final headwall, there are some splitter cracks you can climb. Don't bypass these for easier ground, they are awesome High Sierra granite climbing.

Rough topo of the summit section. We got lost there and ended up in a cold bivy near the summit.
Early July snow level. Red line shows roped traverse from low angle snow to P1. No axe or crampons necessary for this approach. G.M. at the base for scale.
