Description
As in galactose alpha. Route remains mostly in the 5.8 range, with some sections that are harder but short and protected.
P1: Follow the left trending bolt line up the slab. Mantle the large ledge using a large sidepull left of Solar Storm anchors. Finish at the 2 bolt anchor on the far left side of the ledge, above a massive cluster of quartz crystals. ~9bolts, 5.8.
P2: Straight up the face, use gigantic quartz veins and high friction faces. End on a comfy ledge. Can link with P3. ~8bolts, 5.8
P3: The friction steepens. Clip 2 bolts and wrestle the tree roots to get onto the face. Finish on the white rock ledge at a chain anchor. 7bolts, 5.9+
P4: Gain massive spines of quartz until they fade to the steepest friction yet, for the next 3 bolts. Cruiser to the finish. Enjoy the small ledge at the top and views. Possible to link with p3, must manage the drag. 7bolts, 5.10.
To rap, step over to Velvet Elvis chains. It is also possible to rap to get to the top of Solar Storm P2, but manage your rope so it does not drop on VE climbers and/or get eaten by bushes.
