A pair of golden eagles regularly nest on Bridge Creek Wall. When in effect, starting January 1, PLEASE DO NOT CLIMB or travel within 1/2 mile of Bridge Creek Wall. As a reference, the climb Condorphamine Addiction is just outside of this 1/2 mile buffer, and is OK to climb still. The closure extends through August 15, but there is active monitoring to determine if the seasonal closure can be lifted earlier.
In 2014, there was an active pair of peregrine falcons at Snow Creek Wall, but no official closure was put in effect due to the location of the falcons. The site will be continually monitored with changes or removal of closures updated as necessary.
Description
Classic thin Icicle slab climbing between chicken heads on really good rock! The vertically challenged may have to pull some extra tech moves to make the crux feel 11c but shouldn’t discourage anyone for doing this awesome pitch.
Start at the same two bolt anchor as for “Shake, Rattle and Pop” and continue straight up clipping bolts. You can tame a small run in between the 3rd and 4th bolt with a finger sized cam. Climb up dispersed solid knobs till you reach the crux where the angle steepens and a knob you would like to use feel a little out of reach. Make either a big move or some tech moves to dispatch the crux and find yourself on some good knobs to rest once trough the crux. Slab your way up a really nice black water groove on perfect rock with small edges till you meet a two bolt anchor with chains. 70m rope mandatory!
