Description

Var 1: Climb rampy WI2 ice trending left to right until it mellows out towards the top. Natural Anchors

Var 2: Climb rampy WI2 ice staying left until a short, steeper WI3 finish is found in a corner, climb up corner, past trees, anchor from large blocks above.

Be wary of loose rock on the topouts.

Perhaps the funnest part of this climb is the free hanging rappel from the cliff, lookers left, from the big pine tree, it sets you right back at the base of the climb.

Location

Enter the valley the same way as for Little Deer Creek Falls to Duchesne River Diversion Dam on East Portal Road. Before reaching the Dam turn north unto an ATV trail, follow the ATV trail for .3 miles until it dead ends at a primitive trailhead. Take the trail north from here for .75 miles then ascend boulderfield for 500ft to base of the climb.
