Description
At the time of the first ascent a dilapidated boat named "Golden Nugget" could be seen deteriorating alongside Route 37. Set sail on this fun climb with balancey movement up a smoother arete face. Enjoy some red river gorge-esque 'golden nugget' jugs. Try to avoid trending left into the corner which is a different problem.
Location
Begin on low pockets below the "arete" found to the right of King Coal. Move upward to two unexpectedly good jugs. Move off these "golden nuggets" and throw a right hand up to a sloping crimp and left hand out to an undercling. Gain your balance, get your feet under you, and work up the arete. Top out and walk off behind King Coal.
