Yosemite National Park has yearly closures for Peregrine Falcon Protection March 1- July 15. Always check the NPS website at nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/… for the most current details and park alerts, and to learn more about the peregrine falcon, and how closures help it survive. This page also shares closures and warnings due to current fires, smoke, etc.
Description
1st Pitch: Easier slab climbing up the first pitch to a bolted anchor.
2nd Pitch: Stay on the line to the right after first anchor passing 4 bolts and a small section of glacial polish to the next bolted anchor.
3rd Pitch: More slab climbing up slightly less quality rock and past 3 bolts to a bolted anchor.
4th Pitch (Shared with Golden Age): Climb up slab to a small right facing dihedral to bolted anchor. Rock is a bit crumbly here.
Optional 5th pitch: Unprotected easy climbing up to the ledge system, then scramble to the top.
Descent: Can be rappelled with a single 70m rope. You might need to bring your own rappel hardware for the 4th pitch.
If you summited, you can rappel down the top of Cowboy Marmot, then follow the Cowboy Marmot descent. Or you could use a tree/bush to rappel back into Serious Shoes/ Golden Age. Either should be able to be rappelled with a single 70m rope.
