Description Suggest change

Sharktooth is the highest of all 3 boulders at the University Center fountain. You can tell that it is the highest by looking at it and noticing is higher. Once there, put on your climbing shoes, chalkbag, and scout for any campus security, as they can be intimidated by strong climbers. Prepare yourself physically, but more importantly mentally, as you are going to climb the hardest and highest deepwater solo in the whole state. Start easy on obvious moves, but as you get higher, the climb gets harder with less options for your hands, so work your feet carefully up. Be aware that looking down to the water will make you get scared, as a freefall from this heights could take couple of seconds before hitting the super clean fountain water. Once at the top, jump down.

Location Suggest change

Getting there: after a short Class 4 technical approach from the CMU parking lot at the University Center, you will get to a fountain with 3 technical and challenging boulders, all of them are deepwater solos. It's recommended to wear approach intended shoes for your own safety.

Protection Suggest change

It is a "deepwater" solo.
