Description
An often thin off-vertical step leads to a ledge and steeper mid-section. Climb a short vertical curtain (WI4-) and continue up rolling WI2 into a thick forest with a tree anchor. If determined to take the path of absolute least resistance, or in fat conditions, the grade could be easier.
Location
From the South Fork summer trailhead, hike a few hundred yards past Landslide, but not over the Teton Creek bridge, to a large clearing. From the clearing, look carefully northeast and spot some glimpses of hopefully fat ice through the trees. Hike or ski up moderate density brush, deadfall, and small cliffs to the climb, about 600 vertical feet. Aim for the left edge of the climb, as directly below is a larger set of cliffs.
