Description Suggest change

The Whale is an obscure but worthy, little gear route. Hop on the left-angling crack, and ride it until it disappears. Climb crystals up the faint arete to the top.

This makes for a nice, little, bike ride link-up with Only the Lonely, which is also very quality.

Location Suggest change

It is out in the hinterlands of Vedauwoo, sort of like Only the Lonely. This is best approached from Lower Blair parking via the Skeleton Mt. Bike trail. It is right off the trail but not visible.

The GPS coordinates are: 41.18226, -105.36893.

Alternatively, you can get there by walking/biking past Reynolds along the Skeleton trail coming from the Reynolds parking, but this is likely longer.

Protection Suggest change

Good finger and small hands gear and a bolted anchor equipped for lowering.
