ALL SEASONAL CLIMBING CLOSURES FOR CLIMBING AND SLACKLINING WILL BE LIFTED ON FRIDAY, JULY 7TH THIS WEEK.
THANKS, EVERYONE FOR YOUR HELP IN OBSERVING RESTRICTIONS DURING THE NESTING SEASON!
There are many seasonal raptor closures with varying dates and specific boundaries. These generally effect The Monument, Kiss of the Lepers, Picnic Lunch Wall and/or Smith Rock group, and possibly elsewhere. These usually run from February to the beginning of August, but each closure is usually shorter than this, and is dependent on the birds' behavior. Description
Listed as a project in the old guidebook, this route doesn't seem to get much traffic. A tricky sequence off of the ledge leads to a cryptic/big move to a large pocket. From here, the climbing eases with a couple of reachy moves and then a slabby, pebble pinchy finish. The rock feels pretty crispy at the moment, but it would probably clean up if it got a bit more traffic. Not sure about the grade: The crux moves felt harder than any on Pocket Pool next door, but it was much less sustained in my opinion.
