Description Suggest change

Somewhat inhomogeneous route with a lot of loose rock, but an alternative of equal difficulty to the often climbed Richterweg. The first pitch starts up loose, easy rock to a tree belay. Continue up an easy pillar and brief rightwards traverse on a few bolts. The 3rd pitch starts with a brief walking section to an akward but managable traverse on the 4th pitch. From here, traverse right up a crack and then head up a surprisingly solid, fun face with good bolt protection. Pitch 5 sneaks around a corner (Crux) with very positive, orange rock to a tree belay. Then stay right on easy, loose rock to another tree belay. The next 3 pitches continue up easy rock, past an occasional bolt or slung feature, eventually a relatively engaging pilar protected by pitons. After this, head up an easy wide chimney and then traverse left to reach the "Stadelwandgrat" and exit.

Location Suggest change

From the parking lot follow the hiking path towards Stadelwand for ~40 min. After the first scree fields become visible, follow the hiking path for one more switchback. When you turn back towards the scree field you see a climbers path (marked with a cairn) split off towards the wall. Follow this path to the base of the wall until you can see a memorial plate (start of Richerweg). Continue ~100 m uphill along the wall and the left up a groove into an outcropping of the wall. The route starts of the right side of the outcropping.

Protection Suggest change

Some bolts at the more difficult sections, bolted anchors and tree anchors.
