Description
This route fun and very unique, originally rated 5.9 but future ascents may disagree. Fairly serious and bold by modern standards.
The route begins climbing up the exposed east ridge, the protection is ok if you take time to sniff it all out. At the top of the east ridge clip a suspect pin and back it up as best you can. Move up to the ominous hollow flake and onto the north face. Sling the flake as low as possible while backing it up with small pro as well. From the flake climb down and right to another suspect pin, clip the pin that unfortunately cannot be backed up. From the pin continue carefully out right and and around to the southwest ridge to join the regular route. Upon joining the regular you have the choice of clipping the bolt and risking horrible rope drag or don’t clip it and protect the rest with tricky gear.
Rap off with single 60m
