Description
Interesting moves on slab leads to a challenging crack system.
Pitch 1 (5.9, PG 13) Start on the slab just above where you leave packs for the start of Astroglide (original) or Stardust. Climb the smooth slab with delicate friction moves, or head slightly right to find more pocketed rock. Continue up past some interesting pockets and make a few hard moves to get established in the crack. Continue up to a good belay.
Pitch 2 (5.8) Continue up cracks to set up a belay close to the roof. Could probably be combined with P1.
Pitch 3 (5.8) Continue up cracks to the large roof. The crack which continues through the roof appears to be in the 5.11 range. Avoid this and carefully traverse to the right around the roof.
Pitches 4 & 5 (5.6) Continue up and left on easy terrain to eventually arrive above the Astroglide rappel anchors.
