Description Suggest change

The fact that this superb crack is hidden behind a huge fir tree probably explains why it escaped any attention until 2011! It's a straight forward hand crack that widens slightly as it ascends the cliff. It starts in a tiny alcove, so the start is overhanging a little bit, which makes the route unique.

Location Suggest change

This is on  Lower Quarter Day Dome, to the right of But Pa, behind the big fir tree and a big boulder. You won't see it until you go up to the tree and look. Then you'll be stoked you did.

Protection Suggest change

Single cams to a #4 Camalot (4.5") will probably suffice, although a green Alien in the horizontal seam is nice to have if you don't have a lot of bigger gear.
