As you hike up to Barrier, this shield of rock probably grabs your eye. Seeming impossibly blank, NTG climbs right through this slab at a surprisingly moderate grade. If you're climbing at this grade, this route is not to be missed.

Climb either Shadow Play, One Way to Wangland, or some combination up to a ledge. Collect yourself, and get ready to bone down! Climb through some broken brown rock to gain the blank gray shield. Find all the hidden crimps, tiny feet, and an unlikely jug. Many parts of this route might be the crux, but the slab dyno is probably the hardest bit.

After the blank section, weave back and forth between large edge systems before joining the Beautiful Rainbow crack and go to the very top of the cliff. The last part is runout, but easy, and can be protected by a hand size cam or two if you want.

Hard for 12a, but before you complain about the grade, keep in mind that this was done before modern climbing shoes. Respect! A true onsight of this route, placing all the draws on lead, would be extremely impressive, so go for it!

A single 70m is sufficient to get all the way down, but tie knots in your rope!
