Le toit des Anges

The classic of the area.  Starting essentially directly under the roof at the base of a very short offwidth climb up and right through treed ledges until the midway ledge at 30m.  Then once again climb up the crack that angles up and right to the base of the roof (35m).  From there pull out the big guns and climb the larger of the two cracks (hand jams included) through the 5-6m roof and then continue to the cliff top.
This route is very seldom repeated and completely grown over on the approach pitches to the roof giving rise to the lead climber asking as to why is it that he / she has decided to climb this route.  Worth it for the roof pitch though!

La classique du secteur.  Commençant essentiellement directement sous le toit à la base d'une très courte offwidth grimper vers le haut et à droite à travers les vires boisées jusqu'à la vire médiane à 30m.  Remontez ensuite la fissure qui s'incline vers le haut et droite jusqu'à la base du toit (35 m).  De là, sortez les gros muscles et grimpez la plus grande des deux fissures (hand jams inclus) à travers le toit de 5-6m et continuez jusqu'en haut de la falaise.
Cet itinéraire est très rarement répété et l'approche du toit se salit/mousse rapidement, ce qui amène le grimpeur à se demander pourquoi il a décidé d'escalader cette voie.  Mais ça vaut la peine pour le toit !
