Description Suggest change

Get to a ledge then climb up exposed face to the summit.

Location Suggest change

From the summit of Hoffman, descend down the ridge a few hundred feet to the Thumb.  The Regular Route is located around the "back" side which faces roughly toward Half Dome.  Do a short and slightly awkward counter-clockwise traverse on exposed ledges to reach the starting ledge.

Protection Suggest change

Standard rack. At the summit there is one bolt with a quicklink backed up with a sling as of 9/17/2019 is available for those who wish to rap. This may seem sketchy to some. It may be helpful to bring one's own materials to leave behind to make a rap anchor.
