Description

Lowtide starts in the same gully as Corona but instead traverses right and over the water. Step off the ground onto a diagonal seam feature. Move into underclings around bolt two and a large jug out left to clip bolt 3. From here, move right through pinches, slopers, and edges on a pretty face.

If only this climb was longer. The belay stance might be underwater during parts of spring and summer. It is similar in grade to I.P.A. but different in style.

Location

It is imediately right of Corona in a gully up and right of the majority of the Beach climbs.

Protection

3 bolts and a 2 bolt anchor.

Traversed out over the water today and pulled off a huge block before clipping the first bolt. Wound up on my back in the river. Sep 19, 2017

Pretty fun little route, a bit chossy, but the holds are solid enough. Climbing it over the ice was fun, too. Maybe I was numbing out, but the last few moves to the anchor felt pumpy and a little spicy. Dec 27, 2016
