Moro Rock (SEKI) and Chimney Rocks usually have nesting closures every year from April 1 to August 15.
As of April 2016, all routes are open to climbing.
Description
Hot wings is the chimney just right of Green Crack. The climb is one of the most well-protected chimneys you could find, with bolts protecting a majority of the climb. the rock is decomposed in sections throughout the climb, mostly low down, but the climbing is really good.
The first pitch starts up an easy crack that can be protected with .5-4" pieces, then start up into the chimney and clip the first bolt continue up the chimney through three more bolts until you have to leave the chimney and face climb to the right and then left to the 2-bolt anchor. 80', 5.8
Pitch two, continue up the chimney through well-protected 5.9 chimney moves past several bolts through a beautiful squeeze crux near the top. 90', 5.9 sustained. bring many draws (13 or 14) and one 3" piece for a horizontal crack before the last bolt.
The second pitch is the only chimney climb around that gets close to being a "sport chimney".
