Description

Eastknee is a perfect, hand-fist stack offwidth. The crack is clean and not super sharp unlike a lot of Vedauwoo cracks. There are plenty of crystals to use on the outside, and it has a simple, walk-off descent.

Location

East of "Tree Rock" approximately 3-400 yards on the south side of I-80. Hop fence. Route is on the east side of the boulder.

Protection

Crash pad and a spotter.

An excellent crack to learn hand fist stacks. The rough texture on the outside of the crack is deceiving. The inside of the crack is absurdly smooth for Vedauwoo standards. No need for gloves, even. Highly recommended and tall enough to be worth your time - nearly 15 feet! Next time you're driving from Laramie to Cheyenne, check this one out - it's a true gem! Nov 4, 2014
