Description
This boulder is lonely but very near Interstate 80. Wind is likely, but the appealing offwidth is mostly out of the wind. The boulder is solid granite identical to anything Vedauwoo. There might be a few more routes on the boulder.
Getting There
This boulder is not actually the boulder with the tree growing out of it. Instead it is perhaps a 3-400 yards east and on the south side of Interstate 80. If you are driving from east to west, look to the left before reaching the exit for for "Tree Rock." It looks like a perfect hand crack splitting the boulder, but it is actually a perfect offwidth.
From Laramie, slow down near "Tree Rock," drive a bit further and pull way off the road. Hop the fence, and look for the splitter offwidth on the east side.
