Description Suggest change

The right-hand SDS to the classic Rusty Blackbird, this problem adds two difficult moves before joining the direct line up the face.

SDS with an undercling for the left and a sloping, triangular edge for the right. Make two strenuous moves to get established on the triangular edges used for Rusty and continue to the top out.

While this line may or may not include a "true" V7 move, the right sit eliminates the "easier" start used in Rusty Blackbird and adds difficulty to the crux and top out of that line. Somewhat contrived, but adds some more mileage to a great line and provides some excellent, hard climbing.

Location Suggest change

Starts slightly right of Rusty Blackbird on the Crow Boulder. The undercling is somewhat hidden but the triangular edge to the right should be obvious.

Protection Suggest change

pad as per Rusty Blackbird, remember to protect the block found at the start of this problem during the crux and top out.
