Seasonal Raptor Closure: Noontime and Midnight Rock Details

Description

A fine route with a fine wine name.
Some crazy weird moves through the roof.
Just follow the bolts.

Location

left of Fine Wine

Protection

11 bolts, and I used some cams but can't remember if they are really needed, well bolted, just freaky onsight. The start and the upper slab are run-out. Chain rap anchor.

I pulled a grapefruit sized rock off just under the roof and to the right of the route yesterday. I was on TR and was trying to pull myself back left after falling on the roof. There is another section of this rock about the same size that looked like it also could come loose after some freeze/thaw cycles. Unless you fall early in the roof on TR you will not be in any danger of pulling the other chunk off.

Don't let this deter you, this ain't no vantage choss pile! Everything else in this area was quite solid. Fun route. Sep 28, 2015
