One of the tallest and most classic routes in the mine area. A fun climb up a vertical face with chunky holds.

The one on the right face is Spinal Tap, the left is On Tap. Both 5.10b. Feb 26, 2014

That's my interpretation too, except that it doesn't make sense. The older SMC hangers should mark the original route, likely to be Spinal Tap, and the new hangers are a newer route. I've now climbed both of them at last and from Marty's description and the original map/photo it's hard to know. It was established in '89, which would suggest the SMC hangers and the route closer to James Addiction. Anyone have better ideas? Both are solid 5.10 routes that are super nice for this area. I think this is the route closest to the left corner? It has newer Fixe hangers. There's a separate route that has older SMC hangers to the right (left of James Addiction). Jan 21, 2013
