Description

Short but sweet. Blue Bayou starts on a block to the right of the gully. Work up to the first clip. The crux is a series of delicate and exposed moves from the first to second bolts. Continue up on larger holds to the anchor, shared with French Quartered. Although short, this climb provides many nice moves at grade and requires some thought. Rappel to descend.

Location

This is the only bolt line that starts up the north face.

Protection

3 bolts, bolted anchor

@Phyl - I think 4 bolts and that was using the last bolt of the neighboring route. The better of the two 7's on that way by far margin. Jul 22, 2017

We did this yesterday and counted 5 bolts. The bolts wander a little, heading up right and then left. A longer runner on the furthest right bolt is better for the rope. Jul 21, 2017

Fun movement and rock on this one but it's marred by the poor bolting - the 2nd bolt is tough to clip from the obvious stance if shorter and the next bolt is less than three feet away to set you up for the contrived runout to the anchors - don't miss the excellent view from the top. Oct 13, 2011
