Access Issue: Private property with restricted access: landowner permission required.
Details
Climbing at Manitou is restricted. Access to the climbing area requires crossing private property, and the climbs may be on private property as well. Climbing is limited to predetermined dates set by the MCA and the landowner. Climbing is only permitted to those who have signed a liability waiver and have the landowner's permission. Compliance with these rules is important as local advocates continue to work with the landowner on allowing for further access to this crag. In the meantime, the Minnesota Climber's Association has agreed to coordinate climbing activities for those wishing to access the Manitou. To learn more, contact the Minnesota Climber's Association.
