Description

As far as 5.8 sport routes go, this one is close to as good as it gets. This route is located on the first section of the Olympic Wall and just to the left of 50 Yard Dash. It is also the 2nd route to the right on the Olympic Wall. Sweet climbing past 8 bolts, I think the crux came surmounting the bulge halfway up.

Protection

8 bolts to a 2 bolt anchor with chains.

Agreed, super fun for a 5.8. Bomber holds, great location, shady in the morning. Nice warm-up for getting on the harder routes in the area. Jul 17, 2009

Anchor bolts replaced today. The originals were in what is now some very hollow sounding rock. I moved them down a few feet to where I thought was the the best rock and best position for top roping and pulling.

The anchor is now only about 2 feet above the last bolt, rendering that bolt somewhat irrelevant. You do not miss out on any of the good climbing, however:) If you have issue with this sorry, but the rock is much more solid in this location and that seems the most important.
